Dear Diary, 009

Dear Diary,
I have managed to claw my way out of the giant hole full of presentations and deadlines that I fell into. Great news! Our big event has been put on an exception list and I finally have support from our production studio again.
I love my production peeps. I must let them know how much after this is all over.
I even managed to get the two other highly important projects off of my plate yesterday and told the project managers that I can’t touch them for at least a week. That felt nice. 🙂 (I don’t think they feel the same way.)
So today, I get to play in the current version of PowerPoint, not the antiquated one (2010) to create a masterpiece for the event’s opening remarks. It’s all about transformation, evolution, and pace of change.
I finally get to play with the morph tool. Of course, this can still all go horribly wrong. We actually have to find out if the show computer has new PPT. Apparently, we typically give the show folks our own computer to use, which would put us on 2010 and I would have to hand build a lot of animation.
I don’t mind doing it, but I don’t have the time. I’m going to forge ahead hopeful and assuming the best.
P.S. One of my studio chics just walked by with a giant cheeseburger. It took all I had not to tackle her and take it.

We’re very excited to learn from you!  If you work in any aspect of the presentation industry, have a pro tip or trick, lesson learned, or favorite resource to share, and would like to contribute to the Presentation Guild blog, please consider submitting an article for consideration on our blog post submission page.
